The Case

The dimensions of the new platinum A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Rattrapante replica case remain completely unchanged, which means that the watch still has a diameter of 41.2 mm and a thickness of 12.6 mm. Moreover, the overall design remains unchanged, with a thick lug, a fluted winding crown and three rectangular pushpieces located at 2, 4 and 10 o'clock. The Movement

The A. This 1815 Rattrapante Platinum movement, like most of Lange's chronograph movements, is visually impressive, technically complex and a real feast for connoisseurs - thanks to a classic architecture with column wheels and horizontal couplings (modern Vertical clutch movements) are no match. The movement is essentially the same as the one in the 2020 Limited Edition, but with a different decoration: the Honeygold version features brushed bridges and floral engravings on the balance cock and chronograph bridges. This new platinum version has a more classic feel to the movement, with traditional straight stripes and hand-engraved classic motifs on the balance and chronograph bridges. Of course, the bridges and bridges are still made of untreated German silver, and all components are crafted in impressive Haute Horlogerie fashion - including the chronograph parts with straight stripes and polished bevels, as well as the 4 screw-in gold sleeves and characteristic tires everywhere.

The Functions

This movement, in addition to being a classic chronograph replica, also allows for minutes and seconds with a so-called split-second function. It extends the functionality of the classic chronograph by allowing the measurement of a random number of lap times in a minute.
