The new model is powered by the manufacture Caliber 9919 MC which is designed in an exclusive architecture to fit the dual time concept. The manual winding movement, which offers a power reserve time of 60 hours when fully wound, can display two different time zones with a pair vertically placed dials. To make this concept possible, all the wheels of the gear train are aligned between 12 and 6 o’clock, and the rest of the components are fitted within the curved contours of the case.

Bezel

The bezel of this Tonneau watch replica is made from a single piece of material, without any overlap or interruption. The curves and lugs blend seamlessly into the case. The dial is between a rectangle and an oval, and the case is slightly curved, a design that allows the watch to sit more comfortably on the wrist. The "armour screws" adorning the lugs, which were introduced around 1910, remain the same detail on this Tonneau.

Dial

Unlike previous dual time zone watches, which usually had two hands on one dial, this model divides the time between two places into two parts. The top half is home time, while the bottom half shows the time in the second time zone.

The skeletonized bridges provide easy-to-read information about the time, with a winding crown at 2 o'clock and a crown at 4 o'clock used to set the second time zone. Cartier has also embellished the movement with skeletonized touches and the crown of the watch is adorned with two blue cabochons for a more refined look.

Strap
